سرد محمد أبو تريكة نجم النادي الأهلي المُعتزل، تفاصيل انضمامه لصفوف القلعة الحمراء قادمًا من الترسانة، مؤكدًا على رفضه عرضًا من الزمالك قبل انتقاله للأحمر.

وقال أبو تريكة في تصريحات عبر الحساب الرسمي لبطولة كأس العالم للأندية 2022 في قطر: “أفضل شيء في الدنيا وأنت لاعب كرة قدم أن تلعب للأهلي المصري، أفضل شيء تشجيع الأهلي من المدرجات، أنا في كأس العالم للأندية أول مُشجع للأهلي من المدرجات”.

وتابع: “كلما أتحدث عن رحلة وصولي للنادي الأهلي أشعر بالسعادة، قصة حب، حققت حلمًا كبيرًا، أي لاعب يتمنى اللعب في الأهلي”.

وأكمل: “كان لدي عرض من نادي الزمالك خلال تواجدي في المنتخب العسكري، جلست مع مسؤولي الأبيض مرتين، كانوا يمتلكون فريق الأحلام، كلما كنت أرغب في شيء كانوا يوافقون، وفي ذات الوقت كانت الصحافة دائما تقول إن هناك مشاكل في الزمالك، شعرت بالقلق، وقلت سأصلي استخارة وأبلغ أسرتي وسأرد عليكم”.

وأردف: “بعدها بيومين جلست مرة أخرى مع كمال درويش رئيس الزمالك والمندوه الحسيني أمين الصندوق، وقلت لهما إنني صليت استخارة ولم اشعر بالراحة، ورحلت، هذا كله قبل وجود عرض من الأهلي”.

واستطرد: “بعدها بأكثر من يوم، كابتن محمود الخطيب اتصل بصديقي مجدي الزملكاوي، والذي كان حريصًا على أن ألعب للأهلي رغم تشجيعه للأبيض”.

وأضاف لاعب الأهلي الأسبق: “عندما وصلني عرض الأهلي، قلت والله مهما حدث سأذهب، وقيل وقتها إن مانويل جوزيه لا يعرفني وطلب فيديوهات لي، صديقي أخبرني بذلك، قلت والله لن أعطيهم أي فيديوهات، وعندما قال لهم إنني أرفض أن أعطيهم شرائط فيديو، جوزيه تعجب لأنني لاعب غير معروف وأرفض هذا الطلب”.

وأوضح: “حسام البدري تواصل معي وقال لي جوزيه يعرفك ولكن يريد أن يرى فيديوهات لك، قلت لا وكان مُصرًا، وبعد إلحاح شديد، أسامة أخي الكبير أخد شريطين لمباراتي الزمالك والكروم، وجوزيه قال: بعدما شاهدت أول 10 دقائق وافق على ضمي”.

وأشار: “بعدها جلست مع عدلي القيعي مدير التعاقدات وحسام البدري في منزل الأول، وقيل لي سنساويك بالصفقات الجديدة (ماديا)، لم يكن يفرق بالنسبة لي، صديقي مجدي قال إن أمنيتي اللعب في الأهلي، ولكن اعترض على المبلغ المالي، ولم نتفق، ونحن في اتجاهنا للخروج، كابتن عدلي قال لـ مجدي (كأن الجلسة لم تحدث)، فرد عليه لا توجد مشكلة”.

واسترسل: “بعدها الخطيب اتصل بـ مجدي وتقابلنا ووقعت فورًا على الانضمام إلى الأهلي وأعطاني شيك من حسابه الشخصي، وأكد أنهم سينهون الأمور مع نادي الترسانة”.

واختتم: “هذا الشيك احتفظت به 4 أشهر لم أصرفه، والخطيب اتصل بي وقال لي لماذا لم تصرف الشيك؟ قلت له محتفظ به، قال لي ضاحكا خذ منه صورة.

The Gunners are still pretty hard at work in Los Angeles as they await their first pre-season matches of the summer.

The Gunners’ coveted forward seems to be a jack of all trades, showing great prowess in multiple roles.

Arsenal will be hoping Aubameyang can replicate his form from last season in the 2019/20 campaign as well, or even better yet, improve on it.

In the 2018/19 the 30-year-old played a total of 52 games in all competitions, scoring 31 goals and assisting eight in the process.

He certainly won’t be swapping his centre-forward duties for a stint in goal anytime soon, but fans will certainly be impressed by his effort between the sticks in training.

Last week Express & Star claimed that Helder Costa was wanted on loan by Leeds.

The talented forward has endured a torrid time in the Premier League since being promoted with Wolves in 2017/18, scoring just once as he was pushed behind the dynamic Diogo Jota in the pecking order.

Costa was once one of the best players in the Wolves squad, possessing incredible amounts of talent and potential. However, playing at a higher level, he’s not been able to display the type of performances we had become accustomed to.

One of the first of a bunch of Portuguese players to arrive at Molineux, he’s now merely a peripheral figure.

It’s no surprise to see a possible loan move away on the cards, but if he is to revive his career he’ll need to improve in three key areas.

On the chalkboard

Considering Wolves’ lack of squad depth it’s a damning indictment that Nuno Santo sees him as surplus to requirements.

A loan move away could do him the world of good but if he doesn’t improve in certain areas it’s difficult to see him ever fitting into Nuno’s starting XI.

The 25-year-old was once a constant threat in attacking phases of play, contributing to 18 goals in his first season in English football.

His next season saw him rack up 11 goal involvements but in 2018/19 that’s shrunk to just three. The need to get better in the final third is evident.

Crunching the numbers, the amount of crosses he makes per game has taken a drastic hit. In 2016/17, he was making 1.6 a match. Last term that was at a measly 0.1. Given Jota’s creativity, this simply has to improve if Costa is to find a route back into Nuno’s side.

As for shots per game, the Portuguese also got himself into less scoring positions. During his first campaign in England he’d average 1.8 but in the Premier League it has decreased to just one.

In terms of key passes, improvement will also have to be made. During the forward’s first year he cut teams open with 1.7 passes a match but that figure is now only 0.7.

In the Championship, it’s clear Costa is a brilliant player. If he makes a loan switch to Leeds, he can use that to his advantage to potentially work his way back into favour at Molineux.

Will Toby Alderweireld be leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer?

The Belgium international has a contract in London until June 2020.

The problem, however, is that the centre-back’s release clause will drop to £25m this summer, which is bound to be activated – potentially by Manchester United.

Alderweireld might now be 30 years of age, but he is one of the finest defenders in European football, let alone the Premier League.

The fact that Alderweireld – one short of 50 appearances for his club this season – has not penned fresh terms up until this point suggests that he will be leaving in this summer’s transfer window.

The Tottenham fans, however, have made another plea for the 90-cap ace to think about committing his future to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Athletic Bilbao have confirmed that Ander Iturraspe will not be at the club next season after his contract expires which may see Leeds United move for the player.

The Spaniard has reportedly been a target for the Whites, but the Yorkshire club must tread carefully if they are to move for the 30-year-old.

Reunited with Bielsa

The Basque defensive midfielder has made over 300 appearances for Bilbao during a career that has spanned 11 years at the San Mames Stadium.

Iturraspe was a vital part of the team which reached the Europa League final under the management of Marcelo Bielsa so it is no surprise that the Argentine would want to work with him once again.

The current Leeds boss had great success at Bilbao, and perhaps he is looking to emulate that squad by bringing in one of his midfield generals from his time in Spain.

Tread carefully

There are signs to say that Iturraspe isn’t the player he was back in 2012 when Bilbao famously knocked Manchester United out in Europe.

The defensive midfielder has made only three appearances in La Liga this season, potentially indicating that he is regressing as a player. Bielsa’s style at Leeds commands a lot of running from his midfielder so signing a 30-year-old with a lot of miles on the clock may not work out.

There are also trends in recent years supporting that defensive midfielders such as Iturraspe brought in from La Liga don’t thrive in the English leagues. Jozabed at Fulham and Vicente Iborra at Leicester both didn’t work out for several reasons and returned to their native country very quickly after moving to England.

Leeds mustn’t rush into this transfer if they are to pursue their reported interest, as Iturraspe would undoubtedly become one of the highest earners at the club if he was brought in. The deal could very easily backfire, but if they get the best out of the midfielder, it could be a very shrewd free transfer.

Arsenal are fighting to the very end to ensure that they get themselves in the Champions League next season, something that will afford them greater funds when attracting players, as well as store some pride at the Emirates. 

Having been absent from the best club competition during the last two seasons, the Gunners are clearly hoping that Unai Emery can put a stop to that by either finishing fourth or winning the Europa League.

The way things are going, fans really can’t predict how the rest of their season pans out but they’re certainly excited for the prospect of next season. Indeed, that away form is perhaps the most frustrating thing known to man right now.

Obviously, the former PSG boss will face a lot more pressure next season, with it being likely he will be given a fairly limited budget to improve his team. Great. Still, in a bid to save funds for other positions, Emery should look at using Bukayo Saka, specifically, more next season.

Bukayo Saka is an extremely highly-rated youngster who is sure to burst onto the scene sooner rather than later for Gunners, after making his first-team debut this season. Having played briefly in the Europa League, Premier League and FA Cup this season, the 17-year-old is slowly but surely pushing him into the mind of Unai Emery with a view to more game-time next season.

Arsenal aren’t blessed with the best wingers but their youngsters who play in that role are evidentially going to be very good.

The likes of Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka are the future of Arsenal and there is no reason as to why they shouldn’t trust Saka with more time on the pitch next season. Alongside their vast array of top quality attackers currently in the first-team, the youngster could flourish.

Anything has to be better than Alex Iwobi, right?

After all, he has again been prolific in-front of goal this campaign, going on to provide 11 goals and 10 assists at youth level this season.

Considering all the changes West Ham United made in the summer, things have worked relatively well, haven’t they? Sure, there have been some poor performances and inconsistency continues to plague the club, but it would have been difficult for Manuel Pellegrini to have hit the ground running in his first season at the London Stadium.

However, one report is suggesting that might be all the time the former Manchester City manager gets in east London.

RMC Sport are claiming West Ham are considering to make Bruno Genesio their new manager as his future with Olympique de Lyonnais remains in the air.

It is claimed that the Irons have already contacted Pini Zahavi, the manager’s agent, about a possible move and could look to appoint him in the summer.

The Verdict:

To say the news that West Ham could already be looking to replace Pellegrini in the summer would have to be considered a shock and also ludicrous at the same time.

Yes, the Chilean has hardly set the London Stadium alight, however, he has been a lot better than who the club have had in recent memory and has started to show some signs of progress with the group of players he has at his disposal.

After a huge overhaul last summer, the Irons are still within distance of finishing seventh in the Premier League and are well away from relegation, something that has not always been so sure at this stage of a campaign.

Pellegrini has managed to bring some star names to the club as well, with the likes of Felipe Anderson arriving, whilst he has reinvented the way West Ham play and has added an attractive element to it – although it can go missing at times.

Genesio only has experience of managing Lyon, so looking to replace Pellegrini with him could be a really risky piece of business and rather unnecessary at this moment in time.

Rangers need a creative midfielder and even Steven Gerrard’s admitted it. It must be the Gers’ top priority in the summer, and they should look no further than Marco van Ginkel.

The 26-year-old made 28 appearances on loan at PSV last season, scoring 14 goals and assisting four. However, a cruciate ligament injury prevented him sealing a permanent move, and knee surgery in June meant he was sidelined for eight months.

He was included in Chelsea’s revised Premier League squad at the start of the year, and when he returns Gerrard should take the risk and bring him to Ibrox as they look to challenge for the title next season.

The Dutchman’s quality was clear, but it still doesn’t seem he’s got a future at Chelsea, and the Gers can take advantage of this to attract a quality of player that may not usually be attainable the club. His creativity and vision is something Gerrard knows his team have lacked this season.

Regarding the addition of a playmaker in January, he told a press conference: “A number  10 was an area we tried but maybe targets you’re after aren’t available or with the funds available you can’t make that happen” (quotes sourced from the Scottish Sun)

He was clearly disappointed with the club’s inability to bring in a player like Van Ginkel, so with him having dropped off many teams’ radars due to injury, it could be the perfect match.

Chelsea bought him for just £8.46m in 2013, so it doesn’t seem like they’ll drive a hard bargain if the Gers did come in for him, so the move makes financial sense too. He could well be the missing piece to Rangers’ title challenge.
